This program leverages technology, creativity, and a strengths-based, mission-driven approach, with a focus on leadership, innovation, and post-military identity. It’s structured to offer both personal transformation and opportunities for veterans to become change-makers in their communities.
What Makes Vets-to-Vets Unique?
Mission-Driven Personal Projects: Each participant chooses a “Personal Mission” (e.g., launching a business, writing a memoir, starting a community initiative, or mastering a new skill). The program’s structure and coaching are built around achieving this mission.
Innovation Labs: Monthly “Innovation Labs” where veterans collaborate on real-world problem-solving, pitch ideas, and receive feedback from peers and civilian mentors.
Digital Storytelling: Every participant creates a digital story-video, podcast, or blog-documenting their journey and sharing lessons with the wider veteran and civilian community.
Leadership Rotations: Participants rotate as “Squad Leaders,” gaining experience in facilitating, motivating, and supporting small groups-mirroring military leadership development in a civilian context.
Strengths Mapping: Instead of focusing on deficits, the program uses Gallup StrengthsFinder or VIA Character Strengths to help each veteran map and leverage their unique strengths.
Civic Impact Challenge: Teams of veterans design and implement a community service or advocacy project, with coaching on project management and public speaking.
Lifelong Network: Graduates join an exclusive digital alumni network, with ongoing mastermind groups, job leads, and opportunities to mentor new participants.
